Dear people with email addresses, screen-names and or twitter handles that contain pet names, physical attributes, sexual connotations, or gender specifications. If you want to be taken seriously it’s time to switch it up!

The Internet isn’t a joke, nor is it going anywhere. We’re getting to a place in time where your virtual identity is becoming as valuable as of your actual physical self. That being said if you want to be perceived as a normal credible human being don’t make up fake names and allow pictures of yourself in slutty clothes, it’s the internet, not Vegas.

If you are a business the same rules apply to your email client. Using a free email client just looks sketchy, you want me to pay you for your services but you wont even pay for a secure email address? For all I know you are TRYING to remain anonymous to alleviate fears of incarceration. Also chances are, if you have a website you can set up your email account there no sweat. Do it immediately.

Furthermore excuses about losing contacts and old emails are irrelevant as most email clients make switching over to their services as easy as you were in your first chat room. Please Jesus, save your virtual identity and delete that cutiepatootie69@juno.com or Smithhandassociates@yahoo.com account. Then again, if you cant let it go (which is really, really weird) there are other options that can disguise your inappropriate creepy baby name like forwarding and such, learn more here.

Commit to your online identity and take care of it as you do your own physical self, soon enough it may be your only identity and you aren’t going to want to enter the future with a name like biggunsguy911…or do you?
